Haryana government reduces retirement age of government employees from 60 to 58 years
Haryana government has reduced retirement age of government employees from 60 to 58 years.
This decision was taken in cabinet meet headed by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. It was also announced that the upper age limit for fresh recruitment will remain 42 years. Earlier, Congress-led Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in Haryana had announced to increase retirement age for government staff from 58 to 60 years.
It was a populist decision announced by then Congress government just before the 15th October 2014 assembly election in the state.
