Guwahati to host 14th India-Japan Annual Summit
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will be on a two-day visit to India. Guwahati has been chosen to host the annual summit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, scheduled to be held in the mid of December.
This year will mark the 14th edition of the bilateral annual summit of India-Japan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Japan last year to attend the 13th annual summit.
Both the Prime Minister’s are also slated to visit the newly built Peace Museum in Manipur’s capital Imphal, which was inaugurated at the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Imphal.
A number of significant pacts are expected to be signed during the summit. The visit to the northeastern part of the country is a part of the India-Japan Act East Forum signed on 14th September 2017 during the visit of Prime Minister Abe to India to attend the 12th edition of the annual India-Japan summit.
