GST Revenue Collection during December 2019

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collection for the month of December 2019 has shown a growth of 16% as compared to that from the previous year in December 2018. A total of Rs 1,03,184 crore has been collected as GST revenue in the month of December 2019. The breakdown of the collection:

  • Central GST (CGST): Rs 19,962 crore
  • State GST(SGST): Rs 26,792 crore
  • Integrated GST(IGST): Rs 48,0899 crore
  • Cess Rs 8,331 crore

From the IGST collection of Rs 48,099 crore in December, Rs 21,814 crore has been settled with the CGST whereas Rs 15,366 crore to SGST as per the regular settlement formula.

81.21 lakh GSTR 3B Returns were filled in the month of November and December 2019 combine.

State-wise domestic GST Revenue collection data:

Arunachal Pradesh has shown an immense growth of 124% in GST Revenue collections from Rs 26 crore in December 2018 to Rs 58 crore in December 2019.

Maharashtra has recorded the highest collection among states in the month of December 2019, with collections of Rs 13,524 crore, followed by Karnataka with Rs 6,886 crore and Gujarat with 6,621 crores.
