Greater Tipraland

Greater Tipraland is a separate state for the tribes of Tripura being demanded by the Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura (IPFT). This includes the Tripura tribal council areas and the ‘Tiprasa’ of Tripuris which covers parts of other states like Assam and Mizoram and also parts of Bangladesh, like Chittagong, Bandarban, Khagrachari and other border areas. This new political demand was put forth by Pradyot Kishore Manikya, a Tripura royal scion.
