Government to include the regional language in the medicine labels

The government procurement agencies should take necessary steps in the tendering process to include the regional language, along with English in the medicine labels by the recommendations of Health and Family Welfare ministry. The aim is to curb fake, sub-standard and expired drugs. At the initial stage, the proposal will be executed for Iron tablets and polio drops as they are the drugs most commonly administered to children at government centres.
