GoI: Recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in the country is 17.47%
On April 21, 2020, the Government of India announced that the recovery rate of COVID-19 patients in the country is 17.47%. There are more than 61 districts in 23 states and union territories where no fresh cases have been reported in 14 days.
Highlights
The Government of India has issued detailed guidelines for all states towards treatments such as HIV, dialysis and cancer. The Indian Red Cross has started round the clock control room to provide blood services in Delhi. Several other steps are being taken to combat COVID-19 in the country.
Government measures
The GoI has created covidwarriors.gov.in portal. The Portal holds database of healthcare professionals and volunteers. Around 1.24 crores of human resources have been added to the portal. The portal holds 20 categories and 49 sub categories. The portal holds details of 15,000 AYUSH professionals. They have been deployed in 17 states and Union Territories. More than 1 lakh AYUSH professionals and 55,000 AYUSH students have been trained to be deployed in the fight against COVID-19.
