GOI partners with Infosys to improve GST Filling Portal
To improve the performance of the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTIN) filling portal, The Government of India has entered into a partnership with Infosys, which has been managing the Goods and Service Tax regime as the service provider in the country. The technological measures adopted under the partnership will be announced in April 2020.
The Government of India has also decided to revise the dates for the returns filing under the GSTR-3B based on the turnover of the companies under which the date for taxpayers from 15 states and union territories with an annual turnover of less than Rs 5 crore has been revised to 22nd of every month while the date for the taxpayers with an annual turnover of Rs 5 crore or above remains unchanged to 20th of every month. For the remaining 46 lakh taxpayers from the 22 states and union territories with an annual turnover of fewer than 5 crores, the date has been set as the 24th of every month.
