GoI: 20 Control rooms set up to address wage-related issues
The Ministry of Labour has set up 20 control rooms to address wage related issues. They can be accessed by the workers through phone numbers, emails and WhatsApp.

The Ministry of Labour has set up helpline for workers mainly to address the grievances of migrant workers. Also, the workers can register their complaints through emails and WhatsApp.
Features
The control rooms will act as call centres. They are to be monitored by Labour Enforcement Officers, Regional Labour Commissioners, Assistant Labour Commissioners and Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners. The centres have been set up in different cities namely Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Asanol, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Dhanbad, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Nagpur, Mumbai, Raipur and Patna.
Significance
The control rooms will help the migrant workers as they are badly affected due to Lock down. The number of migrant workers in the country according to the International Labour Organization is 40 crore.
