Ten of them died, seven were taken prisoners by the Chinese and the remaining managed to escape. Since 1961, more than 33,000 police personnel have sacrificed their lives for security of the nation and service to the society.

This means that the station and an adjoining area of around 300 to 800 acres in each smart city and AMRUT city will be redeveloped. The validity of the MoU is 5 years and can be extended with the consent of both the Ministries.

Under the RCS scheme, airlines will have complete freedom to enter into code sharing with larger airlines for connectivity and they will be exempted from various airport charges. Airlines will get exclusive rights for 3 years to fly on a particular regional route. Airfares will be capped at 2,500 rupees for an hour’s flight for regional flights. The scheme is expected to be rolled out by January 2017. .
