The plant will be commissioned by city-based Primove Engineering Private Limited and will use agricultural residue to generate CNG which can be used in automobiles as fuel. It was jointly inaugurated by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari and Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar. The bio-fuel will help in reducing the import of diesel up to 50 % and thus the huge amount of Foreign Exchange will be saved.
