Gestational diabetes
Gestational diabetes is a medical condition in which the blood sugar level of women becomes high during pregnancy. This condition can affect even those women who had never been diagnosed with diabetes before the pregnancy. Though the condition goes away with the birth of the baby, it may affect the health of the baby and also raises the mother’s chances of getting type 2 diabetes. In light of the National Gestational Diabetes Awareness Day, the Diabetes in Pregnancy Guidelines was released.
