German polls: Angela Merkel victorious
Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel won a third term by in German elections. Her conservative Union bloc – the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Bavarian Christian Social Union (CSU) won 41.5% of vote, but just missed an absolute majority.
