Geothermal Field Development Project

Geothermal Field Development Project is India’s first geothermal power project. It involves the generation of geothermal energy within the sub-surface of the earth. It is to be set up in Ladakh’s Puga village, which was identified as the hotspot of geothermal energy in the country. In the first phase, 1 MW power will be generated. A tripartite MoU was signed for this purpose recently.
