With participation from over 40 countries, the summit promises to foster collaborative efforts in enhancing food safety standards worldwide.

A Global Theme

The theme of the summit, “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” aligns perfectly with India’s G20 Presidency. This theme highlights the importance of global unity and cooperation in addressing the challenges and opportunities surrounding food safety.

Revolutionizing Food Safety Information Sharing

The summit will witness the launch of several groundbreaking initiatives aimed at revolutionizing the accessibility and sharing of food safety information. One such initiative is the release of Food-o-Copoeia, a comprehensive collection of food category-wise monographs. This valuable resource will serve as a single-point reference for applicable standards pertaining to specific product categories, facilitating streamlined regulatory processes.

Introducing SaNGRAH: Empowering Global Food Regulatory Authorities

A noteworthy initiative that will be introduced at the summit is the SaNGRAH platform (Safe food for Nations: Global Food Regulatory Authorities Handbook). This platform is set to present an extensive database of Food Regulatory Authorities from 76 countries across the globe, delivering valuable information regarding their responsibilities, food safety systems, contact information, and details related to SPS/TBT/Codex/ WAHO. SaNGRAH will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Enhancing Information Accessibility: Common Digital Dashboard

The summit will also witness the launch of a Common Digital Dashboard, a unified IT portal that will provide comprehensive information on food safety standards, regulations, notifications, advisories, guidelines, contamination limits, and the latest developments by Food Regulators in India. This digital platform will play a crucial role in disseminating critical information to stakeholders, promoting transparency, and facilitating compliance with food safety regulations.
