First Capacity Building Programme of Jammu & Kashmir inaugurated
The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance & Pensions and Atomic Energy & Space Dr Jitendra Singh on Friday 3rd January 2020 inaugurated the first capacity building programme for the newly formed union territory of Jammu & Kashmir from the convention centre at Jammu. The capacity building programme will be conducted for 385 officials from the Government of Jammu & Kashmir on e-Procurement from the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and on General Financial Rules-2017.
The Minister also launched the Monitoring Dashboard of Grievance Portal of Jammu & Kashmir Government and mentioned that at various levels a Law university and state-of-the-art sports stadium are under consideration apart from the Central Administrative Tribunal bench that would be established in Jammu & Kashmir. The Minister also informed that within this month, a Pension Adalat and a bamboo workshop cum exhibition will also be conducted in Jammu & Kashmir.
At the sidelines of the inauguration event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed which was followed by exchange of documents for capacity building of 1000 officials of Government of Jammu & Kashmir between Government of India’s Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance and National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM) & Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD).
