Fatehpur Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri, a town in the Agra District of Uttar Pradesh, was established as the capital of Mughal Empire in 1571 by Emperor Akbar. In 1585, it was abandoned due to a war in Punjab. This town is famous for hosting mansions, gardens, pavilions, stables and caravansaries. Here, a Mughal era water tank, with fountain in the centre, was discovered by the ASI recently. It was constructed along with the Baradari.
