eSARAS Mobile App

In a significant move towards empowering rural artisans and promoting authentic handicrafts and handlooms, the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, a part of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), has recently launched a mobile app called eSARAS. This innovative app aims to provide better marketing support and e-commerce opportunities for products made by women in self-help groups (SHGs).

Responsibilities of the Fulfillment Center

The eSARAS Fulfillment Centre plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the e-commerce platform. It handles various responsibilities, including processing, packaging, and shipping of products purchased through the eSARAS Portal and mobile app. This center acts as a reliable intermediary, ensuring that customers receive their purchases promptly and in excellent condition.

Marketing Initiatives by DAY-NRLM

DAY-NRLM adopts a multifaceted approach to marketing initiatives. Besides the eSARAS app and portal, which serve as online platforms, the program also organizes physical events such as SARAS Melas and Saras Food Festivals. These events provide artisans with opportunities to showcase their skills and interact directly with potential customers.

Cross-Promotion for Maximum Reach

To maximize the reach and impact of their marketing initiatives, DAY-NRLM employs both online and offline cross-promotion strategies. This means that the marketing campaigns, events, and the eSARAS mobile app are promoted through various online platforms, including social media, websites, and digital advertisements. Simultaneously, offline platforms such as print media, local community gatherings, and exhibitions are leveraged to create awareness and drive participation.
