Eni Award

Eni Award is conferred by the Italian based oil and gas company Eni to promote the sustainable use of energy and encourage environmental research. It seeks to boost studies focusing on green and sustainable energy resources. It is known as the “Nobel prize of energy research”. The various categories under this award are Energy Transition Award (for hydrocarbon innovation), Energy Frontiers Award (renewable energy and storage) and Advanced Environmental Solutions (environmentally friendly innovations).

Bharat Ratna Professor C.N.R. Rao recently received Energy Frontiers Award for his research concerning metal oxide, carbon nanotubes and other materials and two-dimensional systems for green hydrogen production and energy application.
