England’s Nat Sciver-Brunt named Wisden’s Top Women’s Cricketer
Nat Sciver-Brunt has become the first English woman to be honoured as Wisden’s leading cricketer in the world in 2024. She was recognized for her outstanding performance in 2023, including hitting three ODI centuries in five innings and setting a new English record with a 66-ball hundred against Sri Lanka.

Nat Sciver-Brunt is an accomplished all-rounder for the England women’s cricket team. A right-handed batter and right-arm medium pace bowler, she debuted for England in 2013. Sciver-Brunt has been a key contributor in all formats, scoring over 2500 ODI runs at an average above 40. Sciver-Brunt’s star power was acknowledged when she signed Women’s Premier League deal with Mumbai Indians, making her the highest-paid female team athlete in the UK. She finally placed an English name on the women’s gong, which had been won by Australians five times in the 10 years since its inception.
