Dumboor Mela

Dumboor Mela is a traditional fair organised by the Tripura government in coordination with the state’s tribal communities. It is an annual fair that attracts thousands of tourists and devotees, who take a dip in the Dumboor lake at Tirthamukh. The Dumboor lake is an artificial creation intended to hold water for Gumti hydro-electric power project in the region. Proposition was made recently to constitute land custom station along the India-Bangladesh border in Dhalai district for enabling Bangladeshis to visit the Dumboor Mela.
