Domain wise Highlights from India Skills Report 2019

The India Skills Report 2019 was prepared by conducting a survey from more than 3,10,000 students across 29 states, 7 Union territories and from above 100 employers. This year marks the sixth edition of the most referred and only report in India about the talent landscape of the country. The report is an initiative of AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education).

Employability Percentage- 47.38% in 2019, 45.60% in 2018, 40.44% in 2017, 38.12% in 2016.
Employable Talent- BE/BTECH has the most employable talent with 57.09% in 2019 followed by B.Sc with 47.37% and MCA with 43.19%.
Top hiring sectors in the year 2019-BFSI( Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), Software/Hardware and Manufacturing.
Hiring intent percentage rose to 15% in 2019 from 10% in 2018.
Candidates hired most from particular domains- 12% undergraduate or equivalent, 12% ITI, Polythecnic 7%, Post Graduation or equivalent- 11%, Management or equivalent-13%, Graduates(BCA/BBA/B.Com/BSc etc)- 22% and Engineers (BE/B.Tech)-23%.
