Divyansh, Apurvi Clinch Gold Medal at the Meyton Cup

17-year-old Divyansh Singh Panwar have clinched the gold medal in the Meyton Cup conducted in Innsbruck, Austria. Divyansh Singh Panwar won the Gold medal in the men’s 10m air rifle event while  ISSF World Cup 2019 gold medallist, ace Indian shooter Apurvi Chandela bagged the Gold medal in the 10m air rifle women’s category. Other shooters Deepak Kumar and Anjum Moudgil also bagged a bronze medal each in men’s and women’s 10m air rifle events respectively.

The Meyton cup is a private tournament conducted in Austria from the 18th January to 23rd January 2020 where shooters before an international event participated on their own to gain experience. Four Indian Shooters have to date secured their berth for the Tokyo Olympics 2020, out of the four, Apurvi Chandela and Anjum Moudgil were the first to secure the quota places by finishing fourth and third respectively in the ISSF World Championship last year in South Korea.
