Dileep Padgaonkar, the noted journalist and editor, has recently passed away in Pune, Maharashtra. He was part of a 3-member interlocutor’s team that was chosen by the Centre in 2010 to have dialogues with various strata of society in Jammu and Kashmir. Padgaonkar was a long-time editor of the Times of India and was a recipient of the Legion d’Honneur, France’s highest civilian distinction, for his services to journalism.
