Digital green certificate

The digital green certificate is a proposal from the European Commission to facilitate free but safe movement within the European Union amidst the pandemic. This proposed free pass indicates that its bearer has been vaccinated against COVID-19 or has recovered from a COVID-19 infection. All EU citizens have a fundamental right to free movement within the EU and hence being vaccinated will not be a pre-condition for such movement. However, the digital green certificate will make the movement easier according to the Commission.
