Dharma Guardian 2019
A joint military exercise between India and Japan will begin on 19 October and continue till 2nd November. This military exercise will be conducted at counter Insurgency and Jungle Warfare School, Vairengte in Mizoram. 25 soldiers from Indian army and Japanese Ground Self Defence Forces (JGSDF) each will participate. Two forces will get to know about counter terrorism operations held in each others countries
This is an annual exercise which is held in India and first edition of this exercise was held last year in November. This year platoons of both the forces will be trained for countering terrorism in both urban and forest settings. In today’s scenario of rising global terrorism such exercises are going to play a vital role for national security.

SHINYUU MAITRI: Joint exercise of Indian Air force and Japanese Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) First edition of this exercise was held in December, 2018.
