Denman Glacier: Deepest Point on Land found in Antarctica

The deepest point on the land of Earth has been identified under the Denman Glacier in East Antarctica. The glacier is a canyon completely covered with ice that reaches 3.5Km (11,500 ft) below the sea level, making it the deepest point on the land of our planet.
Until today, the deepest point found on the land of our planet was the Dead Sea Shore, which is a salt lake located in the Jordan Rift Valley, with Jordan to the east and Israel to its west, it was considered to be the lowest elevation on Earth with 430.5 meters (1,412 ft) below the sea level. The Denman Glacier is 20 Km wide and 100 Km long, the entire region is filled with ice.
The deepest point on Earth is the Challenger Deep located in the Mariana Trench of the western pacific ocean, is about 10,984 meters (36,037 ft) below the sea level.
