Delhi’s cloud-based Health Project
Delhi government has informed that a cloud-based Health Care Information Management System (HISM) is likely to be rolled out by March 2022. This announcement was made by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while reviewing the progress of health project in Delhi.

- Along with HIMS, a health helpline will be issued and special surveys will be conducted to issue e-health cards for residents of Delhi.
- Delhi will become the only state in India to have a cloud-based Healthcare Information Management System (HIMS).

About Health care Information Management System
HIMS was announced during high-level meeting in Delhi on November 11, 2020. He also announced to issue an e-health cards in all state government-run hospitals. Under HIMS, every citizen of state will be issued e-health cards to ensure the availability of benefits of government healthcare services. HIMS will focus on healthcare delivery process such as patient care, supply chain management, hospital administration, planning & budgeting, and backend services. System comprises of a health helpline and a 24×7 call centre to assist patients when they need consultation and health-related information.
How HIMS works?
HIMS is a cloud-based and digitized system that will enable citizens to access information on single platform. It will integrate e-health cards into HIMS. Hospitals can also access patients’ past health records and relevant information using the HIMS.
Health Helpline
Health Helpline will have two components- Operator at health helpline call centre which will take up calls and messages of people to help them with required information and Doctors & experts who will offer appointments on issues recorded by operators to offer immediate solutions in emergency cases.
