DEFCOM INDIA 2019 seminar being held in New Delhi

A two-day seminar ‘DEFCOM INDIA 2019’ is being held at Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi from 26-27 November 2019. The theme for seminar is – ‘Communications: A Decisive Catalyst for Jointness’.  The seminar is devoted to the seminal theme of leveraging communications for achieving jointness between three services.

The prestigious DEFCOM journal was also released during the seminar. DEFCOM 2019 exhibition showcased cutting edge communication solutions from industry and gave officers from three services an opportunity to gain insights on technology and industry capabilities.

About DEFCOM Seminar

It is jointly organised by the Corps of Signals and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Over the years the seminar has evolved to become a landmark symposium for collaboration between Indian armed forces, academia, research and development (R&D) organisations, and Industry on aspects pertaining to Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

The seminar stresses on the need for three services (Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy) to be able to seamlessly communicate with each other from the strategic to tactical level and apprised audience on aspects that would be deliberated during seminar.

Significance: DEFCOM has played crucial role over the years in promoting collaboration between armed forces and the industry in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) domain. He also encouraged industry to actively participate in DEFCOM exhibition with their solutions and products to enhance defence communications.
