DAKSHTA For Young Professionals

The central government of India has recently introduced a new curated collection of courses called “Dakshta” on the iGOT Karmayogi Platform. The iGOT Karmayogi platform serves as a comprehensive portal aimed at capacity-building for government officials. With the inclusion of the Dakshta collection, consisting of 18 courses, the platform aims to equip learners with essential skills and knowledge required for effectively discharging their duties.

Dakshta: Enhancing Skills and Knowledge

The newly introduced collection of courses, named Dakshta, is designed to focus on various areas crucial to government officials. It encompasses subjects such as data-driven decision making, code of conduct, office procedures, effective communication, public policy research, stress management, and more. By addressing these key areas, Dakshta aims to enhance the expertise of government officials and improve their overall performance.

Phased Induction Training

The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) is currently providing phased induction training to 40 young professionals and consultants. These individuals have access to the curated collection of courses available on the iGOT Karmayogi Platform. This training serves as a valuable opportunity for participants to acquire essential skills and knowledge in alignment with the government’s capacity-building objectives.

Contributions from Esteemed Institutions

The Dakshta collection of courses includes contributions from prestigious institutions and organizations. For instance, the Wadhwani Foundation, MoEFCC (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change), MDNIY (Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga), IIM-B (Indian Institute of Management Bangalore), Microsoft, and others provide their expertise and courses to enhance the learning experience.

Mission Karmayogi: Empowering Civil Services

Mission Karmayogi, a government program focused on civil services capacity building, plays a crucial role in nurturing a smart, citizen-friendly, and future-ready public workforce. As a part of this mission, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has established Karmayogi Bharat, a government-owned, not-for-profit special purpose vehicle. Karmayogi Bharat takes the responsibility of managing, maintaining, and improving the iGOT Karmayogi platform, which aligns with the program’s core objectives.
