Notes:- The Malabar rebellion of 1921 also known as Moplah rebellion started as a resistance against the British colonial rule in Malabar region of Kerala. The popular uprising was also against the prevailing feudal system controlled by Hindus. It was an armed revolt. It was led by Variyamkunnath Kunjahammed Haji.
- The Bastar Rebellion, also known as the bhumkal was an Adivasi rebellion in 1910 against the British Raj in the princely state of Bastar in central India. It was primarily led by Gunda Dhur, a tribal leader, as well as by a diwan and cousin of the king, Lal Karendra Singh.
- Heraka was a socio-religious movement that arose in the 1920s in the Zeliangrong territory. Heraka, which literally means pure, is a monotheistic religion where the followers worshipped Tingkao Ragwang. Rani Gaidinliu was at the forefront of the Heraka movement, which was first started by her cousin Haipou Jadonang.
- Tana Bhagat Movement(1914-1920) was a movement in Chhotanagpur area against the policies of the local British authorities and exploitative business practices of local zamindars, mostly by Oraon peaople. It was led by Jatra Bhagat and Turia Bhagat.
