Notes:- The Indus receives a number of Himalayan tributaries such as the Shyok, the Gilgit, the Zaskar, the Hunza, the Nubra, the Shigar, the Gasting and the Dras. It finally emerges out of the hills near Attock where it receives the Kabul River on its right bank.
- The other important tributaries joining the right bank of the Indus are the Khurram, the Tochi, the Gomal, the Viboa and the Sangar. They all originate in the Sulaiman ranges.
- The river flows southward and receives ‘Panjnad’ a little above Mithankot. The Panjnad is the name given to the five rivers of Punjab, namely the Satluj, the Beas, the Ravi, the Chenab and the Jhelum. It finally discharges into the Arabian Sea, east of Karachi.

Its mission is to improve social and economic outcomes in Asia and aims to connect services, markets, and people by investing in sustainable infrastructure and other sectors. It was established by a multilateral treaty in 2015 and began operations in 2016.
- Its membership is open to all members of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) or the World Bank. The AIIB allows non-sovereign entities as members if their home countries have a membership.
- China (26.6%) is the largest shareholder in the bank followed by India (7.6%), Russia, and Germany.
- AIIB began operations in 2016 with 57 founding Members (37 regional and 20 non-regional). By the end of 2020, it had103 approved Members representing approximately 79% of the global population and 65% of global GDP.
