Meghalaya has adopted Artificial Intelligence enabled robotic technology to keep its Umiam lake clean.
The lake, which is situated at an altitude of about 4,900 feet is also a major hub for water sports and boating in Shillong.  The AI-integrated robotic boat is able to collect huge quantities of garbage in reasonable time from Umiam Lake.

Notes:
The Indian Army’s new headquarter Thal Sena Bhawan (TSB), is coming up on a 39-acre site, comprising of several green measures conforming with GRIHA-IV (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) norms.
The building will be ready by May-June 2025. The new Thal Sena Bhawan, will come up in Delhi Cantonment. The building will house various Army headquarters offices.

Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala will chair a one day ‘National Conference on KCC for Fisheries’ at Yashwantrao Chavan Centre in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The Conference is being jointly organized by Department of Fisheries (DoF) and Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying (DAHD) to resolve pressing on-ground issues.

A curfew has been enforced in Kirkuk, a northern Iraqi city, after violent confrontations between rival demonstrations by Kurdish and Arab residents.
The clashes have prompted Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani to order extensive security operations in the affected areas.

The Delhi Metro will sell Tourist Smart Cards through dedicated counters at 36 stations, anticipating increased passenger footfall for the G20 Summit.
Delhi Metro has also taken various initiatives, including beautification of its metro stations and metro pillars located along the planned routes of the delegates.
