India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) has exited from Sudan after the country has refused to pay for oil it lifted from the fields.
The overseas investment arm of the state-owned oil company, ONGC Videsh (OVL) along with its Chinese partner CNPC and Malaysia’s Petronas have withdrawn from the oil fields. The African country had not paid USD 430.69 million for the Oil it bought from the block since 2011.

Bharatiya Janata Party has organised a week-long Seva Saptah to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Under this programme, several welfare activities were organised across the country. Several programmes related to cleanliness, distribution of sanitary pads and wheel chairs and other social service events are organized from 14th to 20th September.

As per the recent statement of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the government has set a target to increase the number of PMBJKs to 10,500 by March 2025.
The Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras (PMBJK) were launched with an aim to provide quality medicines at affordable rates to common citizens. At present, there were just over 6000 Kendras across the country.

Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank virtually conferred Second Utkrisht Sansthan Vishwakarma Award.
The USVA Award is being organized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) since 2019, to motivate AICTE approved institutions. This year, the theme of the award is “India Fights Corona”. College of Engineering, Pune won the award in the overall category.

Notes:
The 36th National Games was scheduled to organised at Goa from October 20, 2020 to November 4, 2020.
The Sports Ministry had postponed the National games, due to outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Chief Minister of Goa earlier announced that five months will be required after announcement of dates, to purchase required sports equipment.
