Indian Air Force conducted the Annual Joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) Exercise ‘Samanvay 2022’ at Air Force Station Agra.
With this exercise, the Indian Air Force aims to assess the efficacy of institutional disaster management structures and contingency measures. The exercise witnessed participation by representatives from the ASEAN countries.

Notes:
The Union Ministry of Rural Development launched the month-long campaign named ‘Nai Chetna’, as a people’s movement.
The campaign is launched by the Ministry of Rural Development to make women, especially in rural areas, aware of their rights and mechanism available to help redress their grievances. It was launched on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25th November 2022.

Notes:
A panel headed by former Rural Development Secretary Amarjeet Sinha, has been set up to recommend structural and other reforms required under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA).
The panel is to suggest measures to reduce regional imbalance by offering more opportunities to the most deserving states.

Meghalaya has become the first state in the Northeast and the third state in India to have ‘Mental Health and Social Care Policy’.
The vision of the policy is to promote overall mental health and well-being and facilitate appropriate access and care pathways. Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma informed that this policy will ensure proper attention to mental health, especially for children, adolescents, and youths.

Ministry of External Affairs is organising the ‘International Lusophone Festival’ in partnership with the Indian Council of Cultural Relations and the Goa government.
Lusophones are people that speak Portuguese as a native or as a common second language.  As part of the festival, workshops on Lusophone music, exhibitions of Goan architecture, Goan handicrafts and Goan furniture, Food and Spirits Festival are being organised.
