Amara Raja Infra has set up India’s first green hydrogen fuelling station in Leh, Ladakh for NTPC. The project includes design, construction, and a three-year operation and maintenance plan. The station produces 80kg of GH2 per day at an altitude of 3,400 meters, with temperatures ranging from -25°C to 30°C. The station is part of India’s National Hydrogen Energy Mission, promoting large-scale hydrogen projects across the country.

Airports Authority of India (AAI) is observing Aviation Safety Awareness Week 2024 from November 25 to 29 at all its airports and Air Navigation Services locations. The initiative includes week-long activities across India to promote aviation safety. India ranks 49th in the Network Readiness Index (NRI) 2024, up 11 spots from 2023. NRI evaluates 133 economies based on Technology, People, Governance, and Impact, using 54 variables. Published by the Portulans Institute, the report highlights India’s score improvement from 49.93 in 2023 to 53.63 in 2024. India leads globally in AI scientific publications, AI talent concentration, and ICT services exports. It ranks 2nd in FTTH subscriptions, mobile broadband traffic, and international internet bandwidth, and 3rd in domestic market scale. Among lower-middle-income countries, India is 2nd, reflecting strong digital progress and innovation.

The Department of Consumer Affairs has successfully implemented the E-Daakhil portal nationwide, now operational in all States and Union Territories. It was launched in 2020 by the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission. The portal offers a low-cost, quick, and hassle-free way to file consumer complaints. It allows consumers to file complaints, track case progress, and make payments online, eliminating the need for physical presence. The platform is user-friendly, accessible across India, and supports both consumers and advocates in filing complaints securely via OTP or activation link. E-Daakhil ensures a transparent, paperless grievance redressal process.

For the first time, 19 members of the Jarawa Tribe in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been included in India’s electoral roll. The Jarawas are an indigenous tribe classified as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), living in the Middle and South Andaman Islands. They are descendants of the extinct Jangil tribe and are believed to be among the first human migrants out of Africa. Traditionally hunter-forager-fishermen, the Jarawas fiercely defend their territory and are known for their strong health and physical stature. Their population, which once faced decline due to colonialism, now ranges between 250-400 individuals.
