The UN General Assembly has adopted a historic resolution to graduate three nations, including Bangladesh and Nepal, from the least developed country (LDC) category to the developing country grouping.
The UNGA adopted the resolution at its 76th session, which graduated three countries including Bangladesh, Nepal and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

Notes:
Collins Dictionary has chosen the term ‘NFT’ (short for non-fungible token), as its word of the year 2021.  As per Collins, the word’s usage increased 11,000 per cent.
There has been a surging interest in the digital tokens that can sell for millions of dollars. Collins defines it as “a unique digital certificate, registered in a block-chain that is used to record ownership of an asset such as an artwork or a collectible”.

The Andhra Pradesh State Assembly has passed the AP Motor Vehicles Taxation (Amendment) Bill 2021 to levy green tax on vehicles.
The Green tax will soon be imposed on all vehicles, barring motorcycles and auto-rickshaws. The Centre has earlier recommended imposing green tax to save the environment from carbon emissions by making vehicle owners pay for pollution.

Germany has announced new commitments for more than EUR 1.2 billion (approx. INR 10,025 crore) to aid India’s fight against climate change and for cooperation on clean energy.
Germany has announced its target to reach climate neutrality by 2045 and emissions reductions in the energy and industry sectors by 77 and 58 per cent, compared to 1990. India and Germany account for nearly 9 per cent of global greenhouse gas (GHG).

‘Cyber Surakshit Bharat initiative’ is the first PPP initiative of Ministry of Electronics and IT, which was launched in January 2018. It aims to ensure awareness about cybercrime for Chief Information Security Officers.
The National e-Governance Division under MeITY is conducting a six-day Deep Dive Training program for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and frontline IT officials from various Ministries & Departments, organisations from Central and State Governments, PSUs, banks, etc.
