Russia is developing its second stealth fighter jet after the twin-engine Su-57 Felon. ‘Su-75 Checkmate’, the new stealth aircraft is also known as the Light Tactical Aircraft (LTC).
The aircraft has been developed by the United Aircraft Corporation, which is a part of state defense and technology conglomerate, Rostec. Checkmate is a fifth-generation light fighter jet, which will take its maiden flight in 2023.

Finland has recently launched a ‘Future is made in Finland’ campaign, under which it  is planning to attract over 30,000 skilled talents globally, including from India, to study, work and establish start-ups in the country by 2023.
Finland is also voted the World’s Happiest Country for the fourth year. Based on Finnish government programme 2019-2023, the country is aiming to get 10,000 skilled talents in Finland, annually.

Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has launched the second window of Swavalamban Challenge Fund (SCF).
The theme of the fund is ‘Green Bharat’. The focus of the fund is on innovative projects addressing the green and clean climate change. Other themes are sustainable livelihood, financial inclusion, and access to financial services and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship. A challenge fund is a financing mechanism to allocate funds for specific purposes using competition among organisations. The first window of SCF was launched in August this year.

Mannu Bhandari a famous author in Hindi literature, passed away recently at the age of 90. She is the author of classic works such as ‘Mahabhoj’ and ‘Aapka Bunty’.
Some of her most famous works include ‘Yeh Sach Hai’, ‘’Ek Inch Muskaan’ and ‘Hung’ and stories for children like ‘Aankhon Dekha Jhooth’, ‘Asmata’ and ‘Kalava’. She published her autobiography in the title -‘Ek Kahani Yeh’. She received several prominent literary awards in the country including Vyas Samman.

e-Shram portal is the country’s first centralised database of unorganised workers seeded with Aadhaar. The occupation-wise registration data shows the maximum registrations have been seen in the agriculture sector (53.6 per cent), followed by construction (12.2 per cent) and domestic and household workers (8.71 per cent).
Of the over 7.86 crore registrations on the database, 40.5 per cent belong to Other Backward Classes, 27.4 per cent to the general category, 23.7 per cent to the Scheduled Castes and 8.3 per cent to the Scheduled Tribes.
