Union Minister of state for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh inaugurated India’s first national repository for life science data ‘Indian Biological Data Center’ (IBDC) at Faridabad, Haryana.
IBDC is established at Regional Centre of Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad with a data ‘Disaster Recovery’ site at National Informatics Centre (NIC), Bhubaneshwar. It has a data storage capacity of about 4 petabytes and the ‘Brahm’ High Performance Computing (HPC) facility.

Notes:
As per a recent notification by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, supporting documents need to be updated at least once by Aadhaar holders on completion 10 years from enrolment date.
The government has amended Aadhaar regulations and the updation would ensure accuracy of Aadhaar-related information in the Central Identities Data Repository (CIDR).

Notes:
The Bihari Puraskar is given every year for an outstanding work published in the last 10 years by a Rajasthani author in Hindi or Rajasthani.
Veteran writers Madhu Kankariya and Dr Madhav Hada were awarded the 31st and 32nd Bihari Puraskar. It is one of the three literary awards instituted by KK Birla Foundation in 1991 and is named after the famous poet Bihari.

Public Service Broadcasting Day is being observed on November 12 every year. The day is celebrated to commemorate the only visit of Mahatma Gandhi to the studio of All India Radio, Delhi in the year 1947.
Mahatma Gandhi delivered a address to the displaced people, who had temporarily settled at Kurukshetra in Haryana after partition.

Notes:
The Odisha government observed 10th November this year as ‘Millet Day’ in the state. The primary aim of celebrating the day is to promote millets as a highly nutritive and eco-friendly food product. The Odisha government launched the Odisha Millet Mission (OMM) in 2017 and the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik announced Rs.100 crore government support under OMM in 2019-20.
