The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) announced Infrastructure Resilience Accelerator Fund (IRAF), a CDRI Multi-Partner Trust Fund.
It was launched at the India Pavilion, Conference of Parties COP-27, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Around USD 50 million in financial commitments have already been announced for IRAF, over an initial duration of five years.

India is one of the leading producers of millets in the world with an estimated share of 41 per cent of the global production.
The Indian government has formulated a strategy to involve Indian missions abroad as well as global retail supermarkets to promote exports of millets. Major international retail supermarkets like Lulu group and Walmart, would also be roped in to establish millet corner for branding and promotion of millets.

A total of 118 Indian universities have figured in 2023 edition of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings.
IIT Bombay has been placed at 40th rank this year. It is the top ranking institution from India. IIT-B is followed by IIT Delhi (46), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore (52) and IIT Madras (59). In the top 10, five universities are from China.

India has been named as the host country for the 2023 IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the event was signed between the International Boxing Association (IBA) and the Boxing Federation of India (BFI). It will be the third Women’s World Championships to be conducted in India and the second event within a span of six years.

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said the kingdom would contribute USD 2.5 billion to ‘Middle East Green Initiative’ over the next ten years, and host its headquarters.
The Middle East Green Initiative was launched by the crown prince in 2021 as part of efforts to reduce regional carbon emissions. The initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions from regional hydrocarbon production by more than 60%.
