The Ramgarh Vishdhari Sanctuary in Rajasthan was notified as India’s 52nd tiger reserve, as announced by the Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav.
This is Rajasthan’s fourth tiger reserve after Ranthambore, Sariska and Mukundra. The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) approved to make Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary as tiger reserves last year. Wild animals like Indian wolf, leopard, striped hyena, sloth bear, golden jackal, chinkara, nilgai and fox can be seen in the Reserve.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh launched two made-in-India warships ‘Surat’ and ‘Udaygiri’ in Mumbai. This is the first time two indigenously built warships have been launched together, the Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL).
Surat is the fourth guided missile destroyer of P15B class, and Udaygiri is the second stealth frigate of P17A class. Both warships have been designed in-house by the Directorate of Naval Design (DND) and built at Mazgaon Dock Shipbuilders, Mumbai.

During the XV World Forestry Congress, held in Seoul, South Korea, the Seoul Declaration was adopted.
The Declaration, signed by 141 participant countries, focuses on identifying key areas that can help to tackle multiple crises of the humanity. It also highlighted the need to triple investments for restoring degraded land by 2030.

The World Bank sanctioned USD 350 billion to Gujarat for the implementation of Systems Reform Endeavours for Transformed Health Achievement in Gujarat (SRESTHA-G).
Under the SRESTHA-Gujarat project, the government will undertake the initiative to expand the health services to the rural and urban people and strengthening the epidemic prevention system of the state. The five-year total cost of the project will be around USD 500 billion, of which USD 350 billion will be provided by the World Bank while the rest is borne by the state.

The top five recipient countries for remittances in 2021 were India, Mexico, China, the Philippines, and Egypt.
According to the World Bank’s latest Migration and Development Brief, remittance flows to low- and middle-income countries are expected to increase by 4.2 percent this year to reach USD 630 billion. Remittances to Ukraine, which is the largest recipient in Europe and Central Asia, are expected to rise by over 20 percent in 2022.
