Notes:
The third edition of the joint training exercise between India’s and Uzbekistan’s armies named ‘EX-DUSTLIK’ began in Uzbekistan’s Yangiarik.
India is represented by its Grenadiers Regiment while the Uzbek Army contingent is represented by troops of the North Western Military District. The last edition of DUSTLIK was held in Uttarakhand’s Ranikhet. The joint exercise will focus on Counter Terrorism operations in semi-urban terrain.

Bihar celebrated its 110th foundation day on March 22. The state of Bihar was carved out from Bengal’s presidency on the same day in 1912.
The theme of this year’s Bihar Diwas is ‘Jal Jivan Haryali’. A three-day function will be organized on this occasion, with over 18 departments of the state and different organizations would participate. A drone show will also be organized in which 500 drones will fly together.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Biplobi Bharat Gallery at Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata via video conferencing on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas.
The Gallery showcases the contribution of the Revolutionaries in the freedom struggle and their resistance to British colonial rule. It showcases the birth of the revolutionary movement, formation of associations by revolutionary leaders, spread of the movement, formation of Indian National Army, contribution of Naval Mutiny, among others.

Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the “Step-Up to End TB- World TB Day Summit” on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day at New Delhi.
Union Health Minister will award well-performing states and districts for achieving TB elimination.  In 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the Delhi End TB summit and proposed to End TB in India by 2025, five years ahead of the TB-related SDG targets of 2030.

Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr Mansukh Mandaviya launched the BRICS Vaccine R&D Centre and Workshop on Vaccine Cooperation with other BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) leaders.
The BRICS Vaccine R&D Centre was proposed to be set up as part of the 2018 Johannesburg Declaration. In the New Delhi Declaration of the XIII BRICS Summit, the leaders committed to launch BRICS Vaccine R&D Centre in virtual format. WHO’s R&D blueprint and International Health Regulations will be the guiding principles for this Centre.
