India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) recently signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
It is set to benefit almost 90 per cent of trade, both exports and imports, between the two countries. India has given duty concessions on gold exported from the UAE, while Indian exporters will attract zero per cent duty on jewellery.

Indian traders have imported a record 100,000 tonnes of Soy Oil from the United States, because of limited supplies from drought-hit South America.
This import has been undertaken amidst the high prices of its rival Palm Oil. The higher purchases are expected to support U.S. soy oil prices, which have already climbed nearly 20% this year.

Government of India, the State Governments of Karnataka and Odisha and the World Bank have signed a USD 115 million Programme.
The name of the project is REWARD (Rejuvenating Watersheds for Agricultural Resilience through Innovative Development Programme). It will help national and state institutions adopt improved watershed management practices.

The Central Government has approved the implementation of Phase II of the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) project, at a total cost of Rs 3,375 crore during the period from 2022-23 to 2025-26.
This phase of the ICJS project by the Home Affairs Ministry will be implemented as a central sector scheme. ICJS is a national platform for enabling integration of main IT system used for delivery of Criminal Justice in the country.

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has prohibited the sharing of top secret or secret documents by its officials over Internet.
The officials have been told not to use digital assistant devices such as Amazon’s Echo, Apple’s HomePod and Google Home in office and turn off digital assistants, including Alexa and Siri, in smartphones or watches. Such practices violate the Departmental Security instructions and the National Information Security Policy Guidelines.
