Writer Dinyar Patel won the prestigious Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay NIF Book Prize 2021 for his book Naoroji: Pioneer of Indian Nationalism.
The Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay NIF Book Prize was instituted in 2018. It honours non-fiction literature from writers of all nationalities. The book is a biography of Naoroji, the 19th-century leader who founded the Indian National Congress. He was the first British MP of Indian origin.

The government of Arunanchal Pradesh has signed Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt as the brand ambassador on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebrations, marking the 50th year of the naming of the state.
It also announced filmmaker Rahul Mittra as its brand advisor. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Pema Khandu.

Notes:
Nagaland’s iconic Hornbill Festival, called as the “festival of festivals”, will be held in its traditional format, starting on December 1. This year is the 22nd edition of the festival.
Last year, it was held virtually last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 10-day cultural and tourism annually begins at the start of December and coincides with Nagaland’s statehood day.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Indian government have signed a $ 250 million loan to support the National Industrial Corridor Development Program (NICDP).
The program aims to develop world-class industrial nodes and generate high level employment. This agreement was signed for the first of two subprograms of the Industrial Corridor Development Program, each of $ 250 million.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra was appointed as the chairman of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
ACC has approved the Tourism Ministry’s proposal to split the post of chairman and managing director of India Tourism Development Corporation into chairman, ITDC, and Managing director (MD), ITDC. GKV Rao, IAS Officer will hold the post of managing director of ITDC.
