Gujarat’s traditional dance form ‘Garba’ was included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
The popular dance form is the 15th cultural item from India to make it to UNESCO list two years after Kolkata’s Durga Puja was last added to the prestigious list.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first Indian Art, Architecture & Design Biennale (IAADB) 2023 at Red Fort.
During the programme, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Centre for Design’ at Red Fort and the student Biennale- Samunnati. He also launched a Commemorative Stamp.

Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways launched “HaritSagar” Green Port Guidelines to reduce carbon intensity at all Major ports.
Under these guidelines, various green interventions such as ship-to-shore power supply, electrification of Port equipment, usage of alternate fuels such as green Hydrogen/Green Ammonia/Methanol in port crafts and refuelling of Green hydrogen/Green Ammonia, increase share of Renewable Energy etc. have been provided.

State-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has become the fourth largest insurer in the world, ahead of US-based MetLife and Prudential Financial Inc.
The LIC is only behind Germany’s Allianz SE, China’s China Life Insurance (CLI), and Japan’s Nippon Life Insurance, according to a new ranking by capital market company S&P Global.

Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), launched the India-Korea Electronic Origin Data Exchange System (EODES).
It is aimed at facilitating the smooth implementation of the India-Korea Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) by way of electronic exchange of origin information between the two customs administrations in respect of the goods traded under the CEPA.
