Notes:
A core committee meeting was held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat to review the progress of the vaccination programme across the state. As per the meeting reports, Gujarat is on the top position in terms of vaccinations per million people.
Officials said that about 5 lakh 17 thousand people have been vaccinated in the state against the population of ten lakhs. More than 3.32 crore doses of vaccines have been administered under state wide vaccination drive. In the month of July, more than 75 lakh vaccinations have been done.

Under the Crime and Criminal Tracking Networking System, Haryana Police secured first position in the country. Haryana got 100% marks. Gujarat police secured second position and Himachal Pradesh police secured third position.
The main aim of the CCTNS is to provide comprehensive and integrated system for effective policing through e-Governance.
An allocation of Rs. 2000 crores was made for the CCTNS project after its approval by the Cabinet in 2009. It is implemented by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) and the project comes under the National e-Governance plan (NeGP) of the Government of India.
National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Its headquarter is in New Delhi and Ramphal Pawar is its current director.

PhonePe became the first digital investment platform to launch UPI based AutoPay functionality for its Mutual Fund (MF) Systematic Investment Plans ( SIP) and offerings in India. The UPI AutoPay function will be available for existing as well as new investors on PhonePe app.
SIP is an investment route offered by Mutual Funds. In SIP, one can invest a fixed amount in a Mutual fund scheme according to their will at regular intervals.
SIPs are open-ended. Customers can initiate, pause, restart and terminate SIP at any time.
PhonePe  was founded in 2015 and was later acquired by Flipkart in 2016. Its headquarter is in Mumbai and Sameer Nigam is the current CEO of PhonePe.

Isuru Udana, Sri Lankan Cricketer announced his retirement from International cricket at the age of 33. He will continue playing domestic cricket and will be available for franchise tournaments. He is a left hand bowler. He made his debut in the 2009 T20 World Cup which was held in 2009. He has played 21 One Day Internationals, 35 Twenty 20 Internationals.
International Cricket Council was founded on 15 June 1909. ICC is headquartered in Dubai. Greg Barclay is the current chairman of ICC.

Penguin Random House India published a new book “Nehru, Tibet and China” which is authored by Avtar Singh Bhasin. Avtar Singh Bhasin is also the publisher of original archival documents. The book “Nehru, Tibet and China” describes about the various details and events that took place from the Independence of India to the 1962 Indo-China war. It focuses on the Indo-China relationship as well as Tibet and its boundary issues, occupation of Tibet by China and the fleeing of the 14th Dalai Lama from Tibet to India.
Avtar Singh Bhasin served in the Ministry of External Affairs for about 30 years. He retired in 1993 as the Director of the Historical Division. He has also served in the Ministry of Defence and National Archives of India. He has written various books on South Asian Affairs like India in Sri Lanka : Between Lion & the tigers,
