Indian Business tycoon Gautam Adani recently became the third-richest person in the world. He is also the only one among the world’s 10 wealthiest people to have seen his net worth increase this year.
With a net worth of USD 137.4 billion, Adani has gained USD 60.9 billion this year, more than any other billionaire on the top 500 list. India had 18 billionaires in the top 500 list while rhe combined net worth of the top 500 billionaires has dropped 14% this year.

Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to Prime Minister released the Competitiveness Roadmap for India@100.
The document is a roadmap for India towards the centennial year and to guide India to become a higher-income country by 2047. The Competitiveness Roadmap is a collaborative endeavor between EAC-PM, the Institute for Competitiveness and Dr. Christian Ketels from Harvard Business School.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated a month-long Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Games in Jodhpur.
The Village Olympics is expected to see the participation of 44,000 villages across Rajasthan and 30 lakh people. Out of the 30 lakh participants, 9 lakh are women. The Games include volleyball, hockey, tennis ball cricket and Kho Kho.

The ‘UN session to save Biodiversity’ was held at the United Nations headquarters in New York. However, the UN member states ended two weeks of negotiations without a treaty to protect biodiversity in the high seas.
It is an agreement that would have addressed growing environmental and economic challenges.

Nagaland got its second railway station, after a gap of 100 years. The Donyi Polo Express from Shokhuvi Railway Station was flagged off by the state’s Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
The train will run between Guwahati in Assam and Naharlagun in Arunachal Pradesh on a daily basis. The first railway station was set up at Dimapur Railway Station in 1903.
