According to the World Meteorological Organization’s (WMO) State of Global Climate Report, the unprecedented heat in Europe in 2022 resulted in several countries experiencing record-breaking temperatures.
This contributed to deaths of at least 15,000 individuals, which is more than any other single extreme climate event.

The Jammu and Kashmir administration’s flagship initiative, ‘Mission Youth’ recently received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence under the Innovation (state) category.
It is a unique programme aimed at empowering youth in the union territory. The mission will focus on all individuals between the age of 15 to 35 years.

World Earth Day is observed every year on 22 April to mark the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970.
The theme for this year is the continuation of the 2022 theme “Invest in Our Planet”. The day aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote conservation efforts to protect our planet.

The GRX-810 is a 3D printed superalloy developed by NASA scientists. It is an oxide-dispersion-strengthened NiCoCr-based alloy.
It showed over 1,000-fold better creep performance, twofold improvement in strength and twofold improvement in oxidation resistance when compared with the traditional polycrystalline wrought Ni-based alloys.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch nine campaigns under Inclusive Development (Samaveshi Vikaas) theme on the 24th of April on the National Panchayati Raj Day in Madhya Pradesh.
He also launched the Website and Mobile App ‘Samaveshi Vikaas’ at the event. The mobile app is designed with the objective to ensure the documentation of public participation. It will also enable the government to assess and monitor the progress of the campaigns through technical tools.
