Govt approves mechanism for sale of enemy shares worth Rs 3,000 crore; these shares being held by Custodian of Enemy Property of India (CEPI)

According to the Enemy Property Act, 1968, procedure to sell enemy shares worth more than Rs 3,000 crore had been set up. It will be deposited as disinvestment in the Government Account.

Cabinet approves leasing out six airports of AAI for operation, management and development under Public Private Partnership (PPP)

Government will lease out airports at Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru under Public Private Partnership for enhancing its revenues and focusing on developing airports and air navigation infrastructure in the rest of the country.

Cabinet approves strategic disinvestment of 100% Govt. of India’s  equity in the Dredging Corporation of India Ltd. (DCIL)

Presently the Government of India holds 73.44% shares in DCIL. Now, govt. will disinvest 100% shares in DCIL to consortium of four ports, Vishakhapatnam Port Trust, Paradeep Port Trust, Jawahar Lal Nehru Port Trust and Kandla Port Trust.
