SC allows use of 5 more documents by claimants for the draft Assam National Register of Citizens (NRC), extends deadline to Dec 15

The Supreme Court extended the deadline for filing claims of people whose names were not included in the final draft National Register of Citizens (NRC) to December 15.

Documents included are 1951 NRC, voter lists up to March 24, 1971, citizenship certificates, refugee registration certificates and ration cards issued prior to March 24, 1971.
Foundation Day of Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka and Kerala celebrated on November 1

Seven Indian states — Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and the Union Territories of Lakshwadeep, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar are celebrating their formation days.

Karnataka celebrated its 63rd Foundation Day(Karnataka Rajyotsav).

Haryana was carved out of the former state of East Punjab on 1 November, 1966.

The aim was to put solar energy on the global agenda with the universal appeal for developing and deploying solar energy.

India and South Korea MoU is to expand bilateral cooperation in tourism and to increase the exchange of information and data related to the sector.
India-Morocco agreement on legal assistance in criminal matters approved by Centre

India and Morocco on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters.

The agreement will provide a broad legal framework for bilateral cooperation between India and Morocco in investigation and prosecution of crime, tracing, restraint, forfeiture or confiscation or proceeds and instruments of crime.
