Prathap Chandra Reddy, founder and executive chairman of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. was given the lifetime achievement award. Byju Raveendran was awarded for business transformation, while Peyush Bansal of Lenskart was awarded in the start-up category.

GISAT-1 is India’s first agile earth observation satellite that will be placed in a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit.
The Indian Space Research Organisation has revised the launch schedule of the geo imaging satellite GISAT-1 on board GSLV-F10 launch vehicle. The 2,268 kg satellite is expected to be launched on April 18, this year.

Pakistan has successfully test-fired a nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile named Shaheen-1A.
The missile has a range of 900 kilometres with sophisticated and advanced guidance system. In February, Pakistan successfully test-fired a nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile which can strike targets up to 290 km.

Renowned journalist and author Anil Dharker died recently in Mumbai at the age of 74 years.
He was the founding person and director of the Mumbai International Literary Festival which is celebrated in November every year. He was also the founder and director of Literature Live, which conducts literary events throughout Mumbai.

The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development (WCD) has recently invited research proposals for projects with special focus on improving female participation in economic activities of India.
The Ministry has announced grants in aid to NGOs, Universities, institutions etc for research, publication, and monitoring.

The Government has raised Rs 32,835 crore from disinvestment of CPSEs through share sale and buybacks during the year 2020-21.
Thus, the disinvestment target set in the revised estimates (RE) for current fiscal -Rs 32000 crore. Initially, Rs 2.10 lakh crore originally budgeted as the target for this year, but was later reduced to Rs 32000 crore, on account of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Union Cabinet has recently approved a Production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the food processing sector, with an outlay of Rs 10,900 crore.
This scheme is expected to boost production of value-added food products, attract foreign investment and create job opportunities for over 2.5 lakh people. It also aims to help farmers receive remunerative prices.

Recently, a new view of the black hole has been released by astronomers working with the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT). In this view, the astronomers have mapped the magnetic fields close to the hole.
The event horizon telescope first revealed the images of black hole, in the year 2018, which is located in the galaxy M87 at a distance of 55 million light-years.

The Union Minister of Finance has notified that business entities with turnover of more than Rs 5 crore will have to furnish six-digit HSN – Harmonised System of Nomenclature on the invoices issued for supplies.
HSN is an internationally standardized system of names and numbers to classify traded products which came into effect in 1988.

Hubert Hurkacz of Poland has recently clinched the Miami Open Men’s title. He defeated Jannik Sinner of Italy to take away the cup.
Presently, he is ranked 37th in the world. He has defeated two top 10 opponents in this tournament. With this he is projected to move up to 16th in world ranking.
